Delete your BreathPet data

This page explains how to delete the data held by the mobile application BreathPet, listed on Google Play as BreathPet — Dog Breathing Rate, and how to ask us to delete the small amount of data that does not sit on your own device. It is published by the developer of BreathPet ("we", "us").

In short:

There is no account in BreathPet and no server of ours holding your records.
Everything you record about your animal is on your device. You delete it yourself, in the App, and it is gone at once.
The only data we ever receive is anonymous app-usage events and crash reports, tied to a random identifier and never to your name or e-mail. You can ask us to delete those — see step 2.

1. Delete the records themselves — in the App

Your animal's profile, every breathing measurement, every weight, every observation and every note you have written are stored only in the App's own database on your phone. Deleting them needs nobody's permission and no request to us.

To delete a single record

Open BreathPet and go to the History tab.
Find the record and tap the ⋮ menu at the end of its row.
Tap Delete.

To delete an animal and everything recorded for it

Open the More tab.
Tap Manage Pets.
Tap the ⋮ menu on the animal, then Delete.
Confirm. Every measurement, weight, observation, note, threshold and reminder belonging to that animal is deleted with it.

To delete everything at once

Uninstall BreathPet from your device (press and hold the app icon, then Uninstall, or use Settings › Apps › BreathPet › Uninstall).
The App's database is removed with it, and every record in it is gone.

Deleted records cannot be recovered by us, because we never had them. If you have exported a report, a spreadsheet or a backup file, that file stays wherever you put it until you delete it there — it never passed through us.

2. Request deletion of analytics and crash data

To ask us to delete the anonymous usage and crash data described below, send an e-mail:

Write to alexiddev@gmail.com.
Use the subject line “Data deletion request — BreathPet”.
Tell us your device model and the approximate dates on which you used the App, so we can locate the relevant records if that is technically possible.
We reply within 30 days and confirm what was deleted.

Because the App has no account and no sign-in, this data is tied only to a randomly generated identifier created by Firebase on your device. We hold no name, e-mail address or account identifier that would let us look you up, so we may be unable to isolate your specific events. In that case we will say so plainly. Uninstalling the App stops any further data being sent immediately, and the data already collected expires on the schedule in the table below.

3. What is deleted, what is kept, and for how long

Nothing about BreathPet is retrievable by us after deletion, and there is no server-side copy to restore from. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
